1. Your Waist Is Bigger Than Your Hips

If your waist circumference is larger than your hips, you’re likely carrying too much visceral fat—the dangerous type that sits around vital organs.

Ideally, men should aim for 10–15% body fat. Higher than that, especially when fat accumulates around the belly, increases the risk of:

  • Injury, due to excess load on joints and poor mobility
  • Dementia, because visceral fat affects brain inflammation
  • Depression, linked to inflammation and hormone imbalance
  • Type 2 Diabetes, from insulin resistance
