North Rift Areas on the Schedule
The latest published schedule also lists Kapkemich and Kapkures in the North Rift region for planned maintenance on Thursday.
However, the schedule reviewed did not specify the interruption hours for these two locations. Residents should confirm the timing through Kenya Power’s official channels before relying on a particular start or restoration time.
Why Kenya Power Schedules Electricity Interruptions
Planned electricity interruptions allow technicians to undertake maintenance and other work on the electricity network.
Although the work is intended to support network reliability, temporary outages can affect households, offices, shops and institutions within the affected supply areas.
Customers are advised to charge essential devices in advance, plan around electricity-dependent activities and switch off sensitive electrical appliances where appropriate.
Important: The scheduled interruptions apply to the listed locations and nearby customers served by the affected network, not necessarily every part of Nairobi or the wider regions. Restoration may also depend on the progress of the maintenance work.
Customers can check Kenya Power’s official website and customer-service channels for updates or changes to the schedule.
