I Found Out My Husband Has Another Family in Another City

I’ve been married to my husband for six years. We have two children together, and until recently, I believed we had a normal marriage.

My husband works in another city, about four hours away. Because of his job, he only comes home on weekends. At first it was difficult, but we adjusted. I trusted him completely.

Last month something strange happened.

One evening I called him around 9 PM like I usually do. A woman picked up the phone.

I immediately hung up because I thought I had dialed the wrong number. A few minutes later, my husband called me back asking why I had called.

I asked him who answered his phone.

He laughed and said it must have been one of his coworkers joking around.

I believed him.

But something about the situation didn’t sit right with me.

Two weeks later, I decided to surprise him by visiting him in the city where he works. I didn’t tell him because I thought it would be a nice surprise.

When I arrived, I went to the address of the house he said he was renting.

I knocked on the door.

A woman opened it.

Before I could even speak, a small boy ran to the door shouting, “Daddy is here!”

My heart dropped.

The boy ran straight to my husband, who was standing behind me.

The woman looked at me, confused, and asked, “Who are you?”

I couldn’t even answer.

Later I found out the truth.

My husband has been living there with that woman for four years. They also have two children together.

Four years.
